Individual and Couples Therapy

Individual therapy involves a series of one-on-one sessions focused on issues such as insecurities, isolation and loneliness, stress, relationship issues, family problems, workplace stress, trauma history, or a health diagnosis. These are issues that often trigger feelings of anxiety, depression, and hopelessness.

My areas of specialization include:

Anxiety/Stress/Adjustment Disorders

Depression/Major Depression/Bipolar/and Other Mood

Relationship Issues (Friendships, Family, and Romantic)

Couples Counseling

Sexual Abuse

Maladaptive Personality Patterns

Multicultural Issues: race/ethnic identity, cis -womens/-mens issues, transgender/gender non-conforming identities, sexual orientation identities, religion/spirituality identity, and class identity

I help couples come to terms with miscommunication, intimacy and vulnerability, betrayal and mistrust in their relationship. Oftentimes couples have tried everything and are simply at their wits’ end. I will help you and your significant other rediscover what brought you together, uncover the root of your problems, identify effective ways to strengthen your relationship, and determine whether you want to stay together.

I am a supportive, affirming therapist who brings together different perspectives using collaborative, relational, and skills-based approaches to help you better understand yourself in relation to others and promote growth. The old, familiar habits are not getting you to your desired results. I can help you develop and strengthen effective approaches related to your personal goals.

I will engage you and gently challenge you to unmask your true self and discover your true potential.

Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.
